The new stethoscope

              The medical field has been improved greatly throughout the years due to different types of instruments that have been made. The stethoscope is one of the many instruments that can be improved to make them better.  The stethoscope is a tool used to listen to a patient’s heart, lungs, and digestive tract. It is a great way to make sure a patient is healthy. Although, this is a marvelous invention, it can be modified to make the task easier. Three of the several ways it can be improved is by making it more colorful, making the bell (the round part at the end of the tubing) warmer, and, lastly, by making the ear buds more comfortable. Improving the stethoscope would make a doctor’s job so much simpler.

                To begin with, a way to improve it would be to make it colorful. Small children tend to be afraid when they see a stethoscope because they think it will hurt them. If they saw more attractive colors, such as blue, pink, orange, they would be intrigued by it instead of scared. This would allow the doctor to check the child without the child resisting or squirming. The colors would make the stethoscope more appealing to younger children.

Secondly, many people, children and adults alike, find it uncomfortable when the bell touches a part of their body. The bell is often ice cold and does not feel good when it is put on your body. Also, it causes people to cringe away from the stethoscope, which would make the doctor’s job much more difficult. If they improved it by making the bell warmer, it would help them listen to the inside of the patient much easier and quicker.

Lastly, we would also improve the stethoscope by making the ear buds much more comfortable. They are very tight on your ears and cause the doctors pain while they wear it. A way to change the ear buds would be to make the cable it is connected to more flexible and more like headphones. If the ear buds were more comfortable, it would make the doctors job just a little easier. Doctors already have a lot to do, why not make it more comfortable for them?

    In conclusion, a stethoscope is a great invention, but it could be modified and improved. They could adjust the ear pieces to make them more comfortable. Also, they could add bright colors to make it more appealing to younger children. Furthermore, don’t forget that if they made the bell slightly warmer it would make it more comfortable for the patient.

Dear Albert and famous people in history,

I am Socrates, a thinker who contributed in the foundation of western philosophy (many people worked together, not just me). Have you heard about the Socratic Method? I know you can figure out who was the inventor and if you’ve heard about gadflies you also have the idea of why he is so famous. I lived long before technologies appeared in the time of emerging civilizations.

Time traveling is a serious subject "egg head". Traveling in time can change the present, past and future. It can affect everything we know and how we know it. I, personally, wouldn't like having the ability to travel in time. I believe that no thing should be regretted. We must follow how the universe is and don't try to change it. We are not as intelligent as the being that created where we reside, so let's just live.

Heat !!!!

Recent temperatures do not make it possible for us to go outside!!! We are in danger of suffering many heat-related problems.

Octopi intelligence

When someone mentions a smart animal, what comes to your mind? A dolphin? A mokey? Now you can add a new animal to your list... the octopus. Recent researches have proven that octopi can think, learn, and predict. In thousands of years, they can be our competition (octopi vs. humans). Also they are smarter than monkeys. From the bottom of the ocean a new intelligence is emerging, be aware people!
